Personal, Career and Social Development Skills This course is a foundation for the practice of good study habits; and information processing skills will be acquired. Students will learn good note taking, time management, test taking, organization, listening, and critical thinking skills. Content is drawn from various subject areas. American Government A working knowledge of American government and political behavior will be acquired through the analysis of those documents which shaped the design of our government and the evolution of the roles, rights, and responsibilities of citizens in this democracy. World History A working knowledge of the contemporary world will be acquired through the examination of the significant cultural, geopolitical, and economic events which have altered human interrelationships. US History A working knowledge of the contemporary American character will be acquired through the study of geopolitical, socioeconomic and cultural interrelationships significant to the American experience. Appropriate concepts and skills will be developed in connection with the content. Economics A working knowledge will be acquired of the way in which society organizes in order to allocate limited resources when satisfying unlimited wants. Students will explore the characteristics of the marketplace as they learn the role of consumers and producers in an economy. |
Q American Government
Honors A comprehensive knowledge of American government and political behavior will be acquired through the analysis and evaluation of those documents which shaped the design of our government.
